repainted in mint and cream with Bakelite handles

A large anodised aluminium framed mirror. In 1937 Edgars opened their second and flagship store in
Eloff Street, Johannesburg. The shop was spread over 4 floors and was also the
first retail clothing store in the world to offer “six months to pay”. This
mirror came from one of the fittings rooms and was removed in the late 1970s when
the store was refurbished. What a FABULOUS find! There are two very small chips
on the edge of the glass, but really not noticeable.
