Meet the Team. Part 1

Meet Toussaint Kidiamboko. Hailing from the DRC, Toussaint joined Vamp almost at the beginning of our adventure in August 2009. He is our sander extraodinaire and an integral part of Team Vamp. Mr T tries to teach me French and I help him here and there with his English - so far he has been waaaaaaaaay more successful than me with language mastery!
Merci beaucoup Mr T!

A petite Teak mid-century sideboard manufactured by Jentique (UK)
Jentique Furniture Ltd. Was founded in the 1930s by the well-known toymaker Geoffrey Bowman Jenkins and his wife Edith, the company was based in Dereham, Norfolk. The design of Jentique furniture followed the tastes of the times and the company did particularly well during the 1950s and 1960s, tapping into the hugely popular Danish inspired design.

A rectangular extendable Frystark dining table in Burma Teak from their 1960’s Status range. The extension comes out completely and is slotted neatly under the table when not in use.

Not Extended: 152cm x 91cm | Height – 74cm

A mid-century Frystark (SA) sideboard in Burma Teak from their 1960’s Dane range. There is a bit of a raised bump on the left side of the top of the sideboard, but is only visible from a certain angle and does not detract from the piece.
Length – 183cm | Depth – 46cm | Height – 79cm

A nest of 3 original mid-century Ercol Pebble nesting tables. Made of solid Elm and Beech. Designed by Lucian Ercolani who founded the Ercol company in 1920.The smallest of the tables unfortunately had an existing repair in the wood when we bought it, but it is only noticeable on very close inspection. Makers label intact.
Largest Pebble: 67cm x 43cm | Height – 40cm

Lovely mid-century bar cart on castors designed and manufactured by Bakker and Steyger (South Africa) Circa 1960. It is made of Sapele and Mahogany woods and is on its original castors with a removable top tray

An unusual Teak and Mahogany mid-century coffee table with the original toughened glass top. The glass top bears age related scratches but does not detract from the table.

A pair of vintage desks (possibly 1980’s) with new sealed plywood tops and the original red powder coated metal bases. There are some chips in the powder coating, but nothing too bad and does not detract from the desks at all in our opinion.
