A set of 6 Nuutajarvi Wartsila coasters - Made in Finland. Wartsila later merged with Iitala in 1988. Beautiful design, could be used as butter pads or for salt and pepper.

Pretty glass vases from France_10 January 2018

I found these pretty glass vases in a beautiful brocante in Limoux on our recent holiday in France. The nicest shopkeeper, who couldn't speak a word of English (and I couldn't speak a word of French) We gesticulated and made up words and managed just fine though and somehow swopped stories of our shops and how they came about. She promises to visit if she ever finds herself in Cape Town - well that's what I think she said anyway...
