This weeks new vintage furniture stock_15 December 2016

Suprise! We're obviously a day early with our new stock and that's just to make sure we accomodate everyone that may be packing their bags and leaving the city on Friday! If you're sticking around then you're in good company, because so are we! Our opening hours on Friday 16 December are 9 - 3pm. Its always a bonus shopping in Woodstock on a public holiday, the roads are not congested and there is tons of parking everywhere. Come and pay us a visit, we'd love to see you!  

A rare sight! This delightful Formica topped pot plant stand is in its original vintage condition. There are a few age appropriate faded spots on the Formica, but in my opinion does not detract from this gorgeous piece!

A nest of three mid-century Binnehuis side tables in solid Imbuia wood. Circa 1970.

A splendid set of 4 collectable Niels O. Møller, Model 75 solid Teak wood dining chairs in great condition. Designed by Niels O. Møller in 1954, produced by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik and made in Denmark. The seats have at some stage been rewoven (see attached photos)  Moller and Danish Control plaques can be found underneath the chair.

Although bought as a set with above original Møller chairs, this table sadly does not bear any attribution or manufacturers marks. Although it may be an original Moller (that is what it was sold to me as) I would say to be safe, we should say in the style of Niels O. Møller, Model 75 Teak extendable dining table. It is a real beauty none-the-less!  (see similar in 1stDibs here )

A rectangular 2 tier dark Imbuia wood mid-century bar cart

A mid-century Ray and Charles Eames reproduction moulded plywood lounge chair and ottoman. Although it is not an original Eames, it is still gorgeous, vintage and very good quality. It has a spring mechanism for reclining.

A set of 6 solid Imbuia 1960’s Meyer chairs designed and manufactured by EE Meyer for Binnehuis including an EE Meyer 8 seater Imbuia dining table. One of the chairs is inexplicably about 4 cm shorter (only the back, not the seat) and the table has a couple of surface dents, which in my opinion are age appropriate and do not detract, an very handsome set overall!

Another mid-century Sapele and Mahogany wooden bar cart. One of the legs have been repaired, although hardly noticeable and very stable.

A 1950’s Formica table and 4 chairs. The top of the table has some age appropriate fading and a couple of places that have been touched up. The table can be bought separately from the 4 chairs.

The transit folding trolley designed by David Mellor and Corin Mellor for Magis, Italy. It is made of chromed steel tube and injection moulded polypropylene. A smart, smooth-running piece of mobile furniture for modern urban living. The trolley folds for easy storage.
