We've had a busy few weeks at Vamp. Apart from starting to place orders for December (Sheesh, where did this year go?)  we have been madly sourcing furniture and fabulous knick knacks for you.

A vintage mahogany concertina sewing/craft box on legs

Launched in 1969, this highly collectable Valentine Typewriter was designed by Ettore Sottsass for Italian firm, Olivetti. It can be found in many collections of industrial design and is on permanent display in the MOMA – Museum of Modern Art in New York.

A mid-century lounge suite with the  original olive green vinyl upholstery and tapestry type cushions. This delightful suite is in its original vintage condition and can be used as is or you could have it re-upholstered to your liking. The condition of the upholstery is very good for its age with a little wear and tear here and there.

An antique Mohogany felt lined wooden cutlery box with 2 drawers and a lift up lid. The felt is worn inside as is apparent in the photos. The plaque on top reads ‘From John Archie as a wedding gift’

This vintage kitchen dresser is a whole lot more rustic than the items we normally have at Vamp. It just had so much character, I couldn’t not buy it! It will look fabulous in a farmhouse style kitchen or home.

A set of 8 classic Meyer chairs in solid Imbuia wood. Designed by EE Meyer for Binnehuis. Circa 1960

A mid-century extendable dining table designed by EE Meyer for Binnehuis using a combination of solid and veneered Imbuia.

A Teak mid-century sideboard manufactured by Frystark (SA) in the late 60’s and early 70’s.

An enormous set of Vintage Oak library index drawers, mounted on an industrial style mild steel base with a solid oak slatted lower shelf. We have built up what were very low sides of the actual drawers (72 in total!!) so that they work better for storage.

Lovely mid-century bar cart on castors designed and manufactured by Bakker and Steyger (SA) Marked 1959. It is made of Sapele and Mahogany woods and is on its original castors with a removable top tray
