You know Pauline, I have been out of the office on and off for the past month or so. The result is that I have not been able to keep up with the daily posts, so I have just spent time going through all the images. As I go through pic after pic, I am totally gob-smacked to see that all the kitchen accessories and stuff that we had in our home growing up is still to be found. Like the turquoise swan vase and those green blown glass ashtrays and more. I cannot describe what it feels like to see all this stuff abounding - it is like being thrust back into my youth. It is like stepping into a time machine I can never make up my mind if I want to be there or not, or whether I like the stuff or not! I keep thinking - didn't I leave that behind a long time ago. But I do appreciate that it has once again found relevance in homes today. In fact, sometimes, I actually can only now appreciate the 'nice things' my parents had back then - stuff that I actually really took no notice of.
Thanks Rose for your lovely comment! We are also constantly taken back to our youth and love it when we find things that we grew up with and as you say often appreciate them much more:)
