an invitation from Vamp...

WOW! Thanks for all the phone calls and e-mails expressing concern over the lack of weekly furniture updates. It warmed our hearts to know that we were missed!

The good news is that all will be back to normal come Friday, and the other good news is we can finally let you know what we have been up to over the past few weeks!

On Saturday we will be unveiling the new extension to our shop which we have named Vamp Collaborations. Michael and co. have been hard at work knocking down walls, sanding, sweating, panelling and gold painting, but all for a great cause and if I say so myself, (what was our old dark storeroom) is looking damn fine!

We are kicking off with a showcase of the collectables of Kerrod Modern, a division of Kerrod Antiques. A well-known fixture on the antiques circuit, Kerrod Antiques has built a formidable reputation as being among the city’s most well versed professionals in the trade of original mid-century modern furniture pieces.

Collectors and lovers of MCM will be impressed to learn that verified originals by such well-known names as Niels Møller, Boris Tabacoff, Frank Reenskaug and Parker Knoll will be on display alongside original Kartell collectables and available to purchase in our shop. To complement these we have sourced some gorgeous small collectables by labels such as Sobeit, Soetcookie and ceramist Martine Jackson that are contemporary by nature but with a delightful retro appeal.

In the months to come we plan to collaborate with other specialists and designers, both emerging and established under the Vamp Collaborations label, so watch this space…
The rest of our shop remains the same and we look forward to be bringing you more revamped beauties this Friday!

Please pop in on Saturday for celebratory cupcakes and bubbly and a peek at the new room.
