A pair (Sens Interdit and Reviens Chouquette) of Boris O’Klein etchings from his series, the Dirty Dogs of Paris, both pencil signed to lower right corner.
Boris O’Klein was a Russian-born French painter and illustrator best known for his humorous The Dirty Dogs of Paris cartoons. In this iconic series he depicts anthropomorphized dogs engaged in funny or mischievous activities, including smoking, drinking, and chatting in Parisian cafes. Born on September 26, 1893 in Moscow, Russia, his family immigrated to Alsace, France when he was child. The artist died in 1985 in Paris, France.
