Collectable vintage ‘Erphila’
hand painted Toucan Pitcher. Made in Czechoslovakia. This colourful Czech
Art Deco pitcher was imported to the U.S.A. by the Ebeling & Ruess company
in 1920's. The mark most commonly found on this piece is "Erphila",
which is the acronym for the above Importer. Although quite scarce, this
pitcher is even rarer, because it has the mark of the manufacturer - DITMAR
URBACH. The base is marked: Ditmar Urbach, Czechoslovakia, T (which stands for
Teplitz factory).
